The Entrepreneur Immigration program is a path to immigrate to Canada and settle in different provinces for experienced entrepreneurs who can support innovation and economic growth in the provinces.

Immigrating to Canada by Investing in Canada

You can immigrate to Canada by investing in an existing business or starting a new business, provided you hire Canadian permanent residents or citizens.

Every province and territory in Canada has their own business categories and the applicant must directly apply to the province in which they want to invest.

In most cases, if the applicant is nominated by the province, IRCC will issue a work permit for the applicant to come to Canada and start their business. After satisfying the conditions on their business, they will receive a letter of approval from the province and they will apply for permanent resident status.

The following table shows different business categories for all provinces and territories. In this table, we only provided the minimum Net worth and the minimum investment for each category. In addition, other parameters such as % Ownership, Job Creation, Exploratory Visit, Co-Registrants, Partner with Locals, Type of business, Report period, Residency obligation, Work experience, Education, Language, Status in Province and Age of the applicants will be assessed.
